Silent Hill 2 (2024) ~ Platinum Guide
Break the shop windows and car windows you find throughout the streets of Silent Hill.
- Keep your health high, heal often.
- Inspect Mary's photo and letter multiple times.
- DO NOT inspect Angela's Knife.
- Listen to the full conversation in the long hallway before the final boss fight.
- Have as many optional conversations with Maria as possible. Such as when Maria looking at her old outfit in Jack's Inn, when you visit the Baldwin Mansion, try to enter Silent Historical Society, explore Rosewater Park.
- Be sure to check in on her at Brookhaven often, there are 2 missable cutscenes. Also check on her after finding her in the Labyrinth.
- When doing the mirror puzzle in Lakeview Hotel place the ripe apple on the plate instead of the rotten one.
- When you get the rust and scarlet eggs, go through the scarlet door.
- Make sure to keep Maria safe from enemies.
- Do not inspect Mary's photo or letter or Angela's knife.
- Do not listen to the full conversation in the long hallway before the final boss fight.
Only Way Out
- Inspect Angela's knife frequently.
- During the fight with the 2 Pyramid Head's leave your health low.
- When you get the rust and scarlet eggs, go through the rust door.
- Listen to the full conversation in the long hallway before the final boss fight.
Defy Even Death
This is only Available on New Game+. There are 4 items you must collect. Complete the game normally with all 4 in your inventory to get this ending.
- Crimson Ceremony: In the graveyard where you first meet Angela it it sitting in front of a lonely grave by the shore.
- White Chrism: In South Vale (West) after getting through the gate at Jack's Inn in can be found on a table outside the Baldwin Mansion.
- Obsidian Goblet: It is found in the Silent Hill Historical Society in the room with the Pyramid Painting hidden in a crevice.
- Lost Memories: Inside the Lakeside Hotel Lost and Found, it replaces the Lost and Found Note (collectible).
The Goodest Boi
This is only Available on New Game+. In order to get this ending you must find the 2 broken pieces of then dog key and use it on the Observation center in Lakeview Hotel. It is next to room 312.
- Broken key piece 1: In South Vale (East) next to Big Jay's Diner on Neely St. is the Pet Center. Head inside to find this in the back room
- Broken key piece 2: In South Vale (West) just aster the Baldwin Mansion on Katz St. Your find a gate with a bone on it. Go through the gate to find this piece in the doghouse.
Tinfoil Hat
This is only Available on New Game+. You must collect and use the blue gem in 4 locations.
- Blue Gem: In South Vale (East) the jeweler's is next to the pet center, break the window and grab it out of an open jewelry box.
- Saul St. Apartments: On the roof of Saul St. Apartments there is graffiti of an eye on a vent. Face it and use the blue gem to make it glow.
- Rosewater Park: In Rosewater Park on the pier where you meet Maria. Use the blue gem to make it glow.
- Lakeview Hotel: Right after disembarking use the blue gem to make it glow.
- Lakeview Hotel - Room 312: Use the blue gem for the final time.
I Saw That Town
You'll get this when going for 1 of the 2 joke endings.
Radio Silence
As soon as you pick up the radio open your inventory, highlight and press X to turn it off.
James Of All Trades
- The wood plant you het when you pick the radio.
- The steel pipe you pull out of car hood after going through the gate at Jack's Inn.
- The Handgun is in Apt. 217 of Woodside Apartments.
- The Shotgun is in a locker in the women's locker room in Brookhaven Hospital.
- The Rifle is in a locked cabinet in the Toluca Prison Armory.

Best saved for your second playthrough as you won't need to bother with collectibles.
As Close As You Like
This can you be done on light combat difficulty. Just make sure you use your healing items wisely. There are 3 damage states, red around the screen, then a white cross is added and then a sound is added and the cross blinks. Health drinks heal one health state. Syringes heal 3 health states.

Bonus 2:
Bliss Ending
This is only Available on New Game+. It is a new ending added to the remake.
At Pete's Bowl-o-Rama open the previously inaccessible safe with the code 1887. In Brookhaven Hospital Garden open the safe found in the Gazebo to find White Claudia. (Context: White Claudia is a drug that Dr. Michael Kaufmann was trafficking to tourists of Silent Hill, it causes hallucinogenic effects as well as other side effects such as mood swings, memory loss and suicidal tendencies. Nurse Lisa Garland was implied to be hooked on it in Silent Hill Origins and wel las Silent Hill (1999). The order was also using White Claudia to gain more members and working with Dr. Kaufmann. It is implied that Father Vincent is also involved in the drug trade, he is only in the order for the money, he doesn't believe in the religion. Go to room 312 and use the White Claudia then play the tape.
Stillness Ending
This is only Available on New Game+.It is a new ending added to the remake. You must have seen the In Water ending first to unlock this.
After going through the gate on Wilste St. You can find the Key of Sorrow in a Green Car. You must grab the Chainsaw to obtain it.
In the Lakeview Hotel Otherworld use the key and code 314 on the safe located in the manager's office. Inspect the Toluca Postcard then finish the game.
